Outlook on Android gets support for Samsung smartwatches, more improvements

Microsoft has published this month's changelog for the Office app updates for Office Insiders on Android, and it focuses exclusively on Outlook, with other apps having no new features to highlight. If you use the e-mail app, though, there are quite a few improvements.

For starters, there's a new search experience for tablet users, which presents a two-pane UI with search results listed on one side and specific messages opening on the other side.

Outlook on Android also now supports actionable messages, so you can respond to things such as SharePoint access requests directly from within messages. You can also now see all the details for meeting invitations in notifications, and RSVP to them from there too. For security, Microsoft has added support for S/MIME, which has been on the iOS app for a while.

Group calendars can now be viewed on top of your personal calendar so you can see how many events you have coming up. It's also possible to create meetings and appointments in group calendars with the latest update.

Finally, if you use a Samsung smartwatch, there's a new Outlook app that lets you check your notifications and act on them from your wrist. You'll need to download it from the Galaxy Store.
