Late last year Samsung announced its second-generation IconX wireless earbuds - also known as the IconX 2018 - alongside the Gear Sport smartwatch, offering users on Android devices the ability to make phone calls, listen to music, among a slew of other features, including Bixby integration for those using the company's own smartphones.
Today, Samsung announced that it has updated the IconX 2018 with a number of audio-related features. First among these are a new Equalizer feature that enables the user with the ability to adjust the audio frequency, to one of five presets: Bass Boost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear, and Treble Boost. In addition to this, it has enhanced the Ambient Sound feature. This reportedly allows the user to choose how much ambient sound the device will allow through, which could be helpful when running or cycling.
Other than that, the earbuds will - if activated - enhance the voices of people nearby with the new Voice Focus feature. Those who listen to music on the run using the IconX earbuds should find the new Wireless Transfer feature a bit more useful after Samsung updated it with advanced management features - including the ability to wirelessly add multiple tracks to the internal storage.
The new update is available right now through the Samsung Gear app on Android.
