Sony could be announcing a new camera-focused smartphone on August 3, judging by its latest teaser on Twitter.
In the recent past, Sony has struggled with its smartphone strategy but the company is still committed to its mobile division. It has even launched some innovative devices such as the Xperia C4 which has a front facing camera with flash. Now, a recent tweet from Sony has indicated that it could be launching yet another smartphone that focuses on imaging.
Since Sony launched its latest flagship, the Xperia Z3+ (Xperia Z4 in Japan), just about a month ago, the upcoming smartphone isn't likely to be a top-of-the-line device though it could be a capable snapper.
There have been rumours about the Xperia C5 Ultra which would feature either a 5-megapixel or a 13-megapixel front facing camera based on Sony's latest sensor, and an edge-to-edge display, moving slightly away from the company's 'omni-balance' design language.
