After 10 years of use, the controller centered Steam Big Picture mode is getting a much-needed overhaul. Valve has now updated it to match the Steam Deck's interface for Steam beta client users.

Gyro controls offer a lot of control to the player, but it lacks boundaries. Joysticks have a 'gate' that imposes these boundaries on the player so that you can only go so far, or easily find center.
Valve is showing off a prototype of its "Steam Box" PC at CES 2013 made to work with games using the Steam Big Picture mode, with an image clearly showing a Windows license sticker on the PC case.
Games from Steam will soon be easily played on TV, with controller support for television interaction. The Big Picture Mode will be available soon, revealed Valve's Jason Holtman at Develop conference
