When OnePlus announced its new premium handset, the OnePlus 7T Pro, a couple of weeks ago, two things were clear: it's not coming to the United States, and there's no 5G variant like there was for the OnePlus 7 Pro. As it turns out, neither of those things are true. T-Mobile announced today that it's going to be carrying the previously unannounced OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren.
The OnePlus 7T Pro 5G McLaren has the best that OnePlus has to offer, including a 6.67-inch QHD 90Hz OLED display, a triple-lens camera configuration with a 48MP main sensor and a 3x optical zoom sensor, and a 4,085mAh battery. Naturally, it supports Warp Charge 30T as well, so you can charge up quickly.
In T-Mobile's announcement, it boasted its 600MHz spectrum, saying that it has thousands of sites that it's ready to light up with 5G. So far, the Un-carrier has been using mmWave technology for its 5G efforts, which is very fast, but also very unreliable since the frequency is so high that it can be easily blocked. If its merger with Sprint is approved, the New T-Mobile will have a third, mid-band spectrum.
