Two Point Hospital console launch delayed to 2020

The popular hospital building and management title Two Point Hospital was slated to end its PC exclusivity and launch across all the major console platforms this year, but the developer Two Point Studios today announced the released has been pushed back.

Two Point Hospital will now arrive to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch sometime in the first half of 2020.

"Making a management simulation game on three consoles (and making it the best it possibly can be on all three), is a tricky programming puzzle," said Two Point Studios brand director Craig Laycock, explaining the reason for the delay.

"We have to take the game apart and figure out how to fit it into what is essentially a smaller box," he added. "That takes a fair amount of time and engineering work, and it turns out we need to take a little more to iron out the remaining creases."

Two Point Studios is working with Red Kite Games to handle the ports, which are coming with fully-rebuilt controls also, transitioning the primarily mouse-orientated game over to controller and hand handheld controls supporting systems. The Pebberlay Island and Bigfoot DLC packs are coming as freebies with the console releases as well.
