It almost seems like yesterday when RED announced its first entry into the smartphone segment, offering a device with the promise of continued enhancements through modular accessories, impressive imaging capabilities, and a unique holographic display. However, not everything would go to plan for its first attempt, as there would be a delayed release, with the Titanium (Ti) version being slated to arrive two years after its initial announcement. For those that been patiently waiting, your time has arrived, as the Ti model has now been finally made available, with a price of $1,595.
While a two-year wait might sound horrid, RED at least knows how to make amends with its customers, as it offered those that pre-ordered a Ti unit, a free standard model in its place in 2018, in addition to the Ti model later, when it was released. The pre-order units should be arriving to customers shortly, while those that have yet to order one may do so from the company's website. If you have yet to experience the device, you may want to read up about it before plopping down close to $1,600 for the unit, as it didn't receive too many favorable reviews across the internet.
If you're looking for an alternative take on the matter, be sure to check out Neowin's unboxing, along with its review, where the Hydrogen One was praised for its holographic display, unique design, and camera.
