Nokia loves to give its phones more than one color scheme and that's certainly the case with the Lumia 800. Today, Nokia confirmed that it will release a white version of the Windows Phone that it originally launched in November. This will be the fourth color choice for the Lumia 800. It originally launched with cyan, magenta and black color choices.
The white look of the Lumia 800 is similar to that of Nokia's N9 phone, which launched its own white version in late 2011. Nokia's announcement states that the white Nokia 800 will first be launched "soon" in the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Finland, Poland and Switzerland. Other countries will get the white version later.
In another post on the Nokia web site, the company talks about how it created the white Nokia 800. It states, "The new white Nokia Lumia 800 is the first with a high gloss finish – something that resulted from perfecting a pure white polycarbonate body."
The post added, "What distinguishes the white Nokia Lumia is that it’s white right through – a process that involves working with the best dye houses in the world to source a perfect pigment, and then stir it into the polycarbonate liquid to make a mould."
