Chinese hardware manufacturer Xiaomi has revealed the lower-end variant of its Mi LED Smart TV 4, the 4C, in its Indian online store, though the device isn't available for sale yet - its official announcement is supposed to take place later, on the 7th of March.
The listing reveals all the specifications and pricing details of the device. Unlike its bigger, 4K resolution and HDR touting 55" sibling, the 4C sports a 43" 1080p screen with no support for HDR.
As it goes with Xiaomi's products, the key is in their pricing; while the larger Smart TV 4 comes in at a price of INR 39,999 ($613), the 4C will set you back INR 27,999 ($429).
You might think these TVs would have great appeal given their asking price, but Xiaomi doesn't want you getting too comfortable with its online store. The larger Smart TV 4 was available only via its flash-sale system; Xiaomi sets a countdown timer to the time of a sale, and at 00:00, somehow, the device goes out of stock almost immediately. Needless to say, this system is quite unpopular among potential customers.
The 4C, unfortunately, will be sold the same way. In any case, you can go over to Xiaomi's listing for the 4C here, and the larger 4 here.
